Discovery Series

Our "Discovery Series" is a consists of classes designed to produce depth within the life of each disciple. These are designed to be taken in progression, but it is not required that you do so.

These classes must be registered for and are offered each semester. To register for any of these classes please fill out a Discovery Registration form.

Below is a brief synopsis of each class in the Discovery Series.

Discover Grace: (3 weeks)
How do I become a member or learn more about Grace Bible Church and where I fit in? (This class is offered multiple times throughout the year.)

Discover the Bible: (1 Year)
A study of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. If you are looking to gain a better overall understanding of God's Word, this is a great place for you.

Discover Theology Classes: (10-15 weeks each)

Discover Theology 101 will be offered each semester. At least one of the other Discover Theology classes will be offered in addition. We strongly recommend that you take Discover Theology 101 first. The rest of the classes can be taken in any order.

Discover Theology 101: Introduction to Theology (offered every semester)
Intro to Theology serves as a foundation to the Discovery Series. This is a theological studies nethods course. Its primary purpose is to teach students skills for developing a Christian mind, by helping them construct a solid foundation for thinking through life's most important issues. This course is a prerequisite to all other courses of theology.

Discover Theology 102: The Bible/ Principles of Interpretation
This course focuses on the authority, nature, and interpretation (hermeneutics) of the Scriptures. It is designed to help students work through issues that concern the trust they place in the Bible and its interpretation.

Discover Theology 103: The Trinity
This course is a study of the nature, existence, and attributes of our Trinitarian God. We will examine the biblical evidence and historical development of our understanding of the doctrine of the Trinity, the person of Christ (Christology), and the person of the Holy Spirit (Pneumatology).

Discover Theology 104: Mankind and Sin
This course is a study of the nature of humanity and sin. We will look at the nature of humanity from a biblical perspective examining the "what" and "why" of man and the impact of sin upon mankind.

Discover Theology 105: Salvation
This course is a study of the nature of salvation. We will focus on the process and responsibilities of salvation from the standpoint of God and from the standpoint of man.

Discover Theology 106: The Church and the End Times
This course is a study of the nature and purpose of the Church and of the end times. The purpose of this course is to orient people to the program of God througout the ages, understanding how the Church fits into it.
