Sharon assumed the responsibilities of office manager in June 2005. She was born in Nashville, Tennesee and graduated from high school in Houston, Texas. Sharon met her husband David while attending Texas A&M University in 1975. She has been in the education field since 1990, having taught for Nacogdoches ISD and Stephen F. Austin State University. She has also served in an administrative capacity for Lufkin ISD for the past seven years and as Director of Instruction for the past three years.

Sharon and David were married in 1978 and are the proud parents of three children and two sons-in-law. Jill Muggleston (wife of Rob Muggleston), Holly Hinze (wife of Garth Hinze), and Mark Bradley. David and Sharon moved their family to Nacogdoches in April 1982, when Jill was six weeks old. They did not want to raise their family in the "big city" and after visiting Nacogdoches many times while David's sister was attending SFA, decided Nacogdoches was the perfect place to raise their little family.

Today, with all three children out of the house, Sharon and David enjoy spending time traveling to visit family and friends, doing carpentry work for Sharon’s retired parents, watching old movies on cold, rainy Saturdays, and eating Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (actually, any chocolate will do).
